The United States has always had a fair democracy, but in a year our democracy has fallen. One President has made tremendous changes, but many of these changes haven’t been good for us as American Citizens. The democracy of the United States has been at hands of Donald Trump, who has been posting obnoxious things on X formally known as Twitter. Many have said he is totally okay, and has been the President they have ever seen, while others have been regretting their votes for him, saying that they never voted for a President to go to war, that they actually think everything he said was a lie. So what does the United States have in store?

On April 5,2026 Trump posted on Truth social “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP”. Trump had threatened to bomb civilian infrastructure in Iran. On PBS they mentioned how some of the Democratic lawmakers were calling for the removal of President Donald Trump via the 25th Amendment. Not only were democrats calling for the 25th amendment but also influencers who supported Donald Trump such as Candace Owens called for the removal of the President.

The Common Cause has called on the Cabinet and Vice President JD Vance to invoke the 25th Amendment, they said that the evidence is clear, as President Trump is unfit to serve, and that if the Vice President and the Cabinet refuse to fulfill the duty of the country, that they would call on Congress to impeach and remove President Trump. That the military leaders should also disobey blatantly illegal orders, as this is a constitutional emergency. Common cause has also pointed out that “the President has displayed incoherent and erratic behavior that puts our country at risk.”

Right now due to the war with Iran our living has gone up higher, especially gas and oil, Trump said that the United States would blockade the Strait of Hormuz on Monday morning, as the negotiators failed to reach a peace deal as said by CNN, but this only applies only to ships going to and from Iran. The ripple effects this has is that on Sunday oil has now topped $100 a barrel, the blockade has threatened to further ruin the global economy making gas prices elevated, Brent crude the international benchmark was up to 8%. The NBC News has also reported that due to the blockade the prices of gas will go up higher, they also mentioned that according to AAA gas prices have gone up by $1.20 per gallon since the war began making the national average of $4.12. President Trump himself was asked on Sunday Morning by Fox News whether the prices would be lower by the time midterm elections President Trump answered “I think so. It could be, it could be or the same, or maybe a little bit higher, but it should be around the same.”

Also on Fox News this morning with his interview with Maria Bartiromo Donald Trump vowed to choke off Iran’s oil profits and has also warned that no country no matter if it is an ally or adversary will be allowed to bypass the crackdown. Quoting from Donald Trump “We’re not going to let Iran make money on selling oil to people that they like and not people that they don’t like… It is going to be all or none and that is the way it is,” Trump said. “You saw what we did with Venezuela. It’ll be something very similar to that but at a higher level.”

The war with Iran has now been going on for 6 weeks. We do not know what will be in store for the United States, this is coming from a President that promised that there would be no wars under his administration, and that the cost of living would go down. But what we have seen this past year, is that we as the people can not speak up. We are being taught to be silent as there would be repercussions, this is called democratic erosion, our democracy is quickly falling and we as the American people must stop it.

The United States has never seen a President that has wanted to fully take over the American Government and that wants to ruin it, causing corruption. Many who were MAGA before are now saying they regret voting for Donald Trump, that everything he said was a lie, and they never thought he would ever be corrupt, and put us Americans in danger. Can the United States truly one day get out of this mess.
