Dr. Adriana Qubaia-ova is a Global Teaching Fellow at the Arizona State University. She completed her PhD in Comparative Gender Studies at the Central European University in 2019. Her dissertation was based on extended ethnographic fieldwork of gender and sexuality in Beirut, Lebanon. Her research interests include NGOization, queer refugee studies, and CEE-MENA relations. At ASU, she teaches “Democratic Erosion” and “Gender and Armed Conflict” in the spring of 2020.
