Eric Royer is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science at Saint Louis University. Royer’s area of expertise is in international politics, with a particular emphasis on international humanitarian law, post-conflict peace-building, and transitional justice. His research focuses on the pacifying effect of truth commissions, criminal tribunals, and amnesties in the post-conflict stage and the ways in which the changing nature of global violence plays havoc with rules governing armed warfare. He earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
