Dr. Kelly Senters Piazza is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the United States Air Force Academy. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in August 2018. She specializes in comparative politics and studies democratic transitions, corruption, gender politics, decentralization, and subnational fragmentation in Latin America. She has published on these topics in World Development, Latin American Politics and Society, and Latin American Research Review (forthcoming), and the Lemann Foundation, the Tinker Foundation, and the United States Department of Education have contributed funding to her research.
